1) New Needtobreathe album!

Needtobreathe has been one of my favorites for a long time now. (The acoustic version of “Washed by the Water” is my most played song on itunes by…like…a lot.) So excited they have a new album out! “Drive All Night” is one of my new favorites.

2) A pretty and colorful wedding over on Green Wedding Shoes.

3) Love this girl’s style! There aren’t enough tattooed fashion bloggers out there, in my opinion. :)

4) This quote. I’ve been journaling inspiring quotes and lyrics a lot lately.

5) Pretty striped cake!

I’m off to work on my 52 weeks photo for this week. I’ll share soon! I’m shooting a wedding all day tomorrow, and I’ll have a senior shoot up too. :)

Even though I’ve been without internet/phone service for the last week, I still took a few instagrams and just uploaded them when I got into town.

I really really miss internet.

That’s all.

I think I’ve finally nailed down how I want to do my photo packaging. Next print order I have, I’ll take photos! Until then, here’s how I do my CD packaging.

I’m convinced that after doing this wedding, I can take on any wedding. Playing bridesmaid and photographer was an interesting challenge. My assistant, Johannah, saved my life. I don’t think she minded the chaos, considering I let her play with my cameras and fed her fajitas. (Side note: Jo will be joining me on all IJP’s wedding ventures next year. We make an awkward, weird little team.)

For those of you new to the blog, Emily is my cousin and we’re only about a year and a half apart, so we’ve always been close. I was so honored to play a small part in her big day, and I couldn’t be more excited that Alex is now part of our family. He puts up with our craziness quite well!

It was…an eventful night and a good little party. There were cops called. We’ll just leave it at that. ;)

Here are some of my favorites from the day.. Some were taken by me and some were taken by Johannah.

This made me laugh.. There’s always that “typical” bridesmaids laughing shot, and the best way to get a natural laugh is to let out a big, stupid fake one. So the first shot is always every bridesmaid looking ridiculous.

In short…this post is dedicated to all those who survived September 24th, 2011 at the Lindley House in Duncan.

Last tattoo story! I get asked about my tattoos a lot, so it’s been nice to have a spot where it’s all written down. :)

Tea party quarter sleeve/shoulder piece
Oklahoma City, OK (Beauty From Pain Tattoo)
May-July 2011
Artist: Gage Brim

There are so many reasons why this tattoo fits me perfectly..
I love tea and have an entire drawer full of it in my kitchen…it’s about all I drink in the fall/winter.
I collect vintage teacups in all shapes and sizes and patterns.
My grandma collected teapots and I inherited them all.
All the bright colors in the tattoo (especially the use of the turquoise blue) make my heart happy.
I love anything floral, striped, or polka dotted.
It’s not TOO cute…there are broken dishes and some use of “darker”, more dramatic colors.
I could go on and on! This tattoo took 3 sessions and about 12 total hours of work. I love all the little details Gage put into it and couldn’t love it more.
Plus I feel like a badass getting to say that I have a quarter sleeve. ;)

While I’m on the subject of my tattoos and since we’ve come to the end of this little “project”, I absolutely want to take a moment to throw out a shameless plug for Gage. He’s been a pleasure to work with the last two years and he deals with my whining and Heather’s weird family stories for hours on end without a single complaint. I trust him to tell me when something would look stupid, and honestly I trust him so much I’ve let him basically just run wild with my last two tattoos.

He’s cool and stuff.

Here’s the info for the shop he works at…if you go in, make sure you tell him I sent you!

Gage Brim
Beauty From Pain Tattoo and Art Gallery
733 NW 23rd Street, OKC (right next to Cuppies and Joe)

(I will also say the other artist working there, Caleb Lyons, is equally as amazing. He did my feather tattoo and he’s also an awesome guy to work with.)

The end. :)
