My Friday posts are usually my random posts. So here are some things that make me particularly happy.

1) First things first…look who’s on itunes!

I believe the boys are also on Amazon, too. So now you have no excuse not to own it. ;)

2) I ended up getting a photo pass for the Norman Music Festival at the end of April! (Big thanks to Mr. Bewley for giving me the heads up. And for just being a huge support in general.) My ultimate goal is to work with more bands/music, so this is a big opportunity for me.
So I knew business cards would be a wise idea to give out for the festival…I have never given out a business card, and the last time I had any printed was literally 3 years ago. Yikes. I’ve been working on a design and I’m thinking something along these lines, but I’ll probably still make a several changes. I’m so picky. I have no clue how to “sell myself”, much less on a dinky little card. Opinions?

3) I love Lady Gaga.

I don’t care how much some people think she’s a freak…and, truly, she is…but the girl knows what the hell she’s doing. And I love her brain. My current favorite Gaga quotes:

“Peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no trouble, noise, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”

“All that ever holds somebody back, I think, is fear. For a minute I had fear. [Then] I went into the [dressing] room and shot my fear in the face…”

“I don’t like when you’re on a date and someone says, ‘Are you having fun? Is this fun? Do you like me? Do you think this is going to work out?’ And I’m just like, ‘I don’t know, I just ordered some chicken…’”

4) This week’s 52 weeks submission.

Probably the least amount of time I’ve spent on a 52 weeks. It was very last minute.

5) My blog hits have been steadily on the rise lately. I honestly never check my hits, but I hit my record high on Sunday and I’ve surpassed it every day since then.

Feeling ridiculously grateful that people actually read this nonsense.

6) I hit my 300th blog post the other day!! I didn’t even realize it until this morning. So…how about one more giveaway? haha.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you want to be when/if you grow up, and the winner will receive the above 11×14 print. I’ll choose a winner at random on Monday!

Thanks to everyone who has sent in model applications for the workshop! I’m going to continue to take applications until Thursday, March 4th. If you have no clue what I’m talking about…here. :)

Alright, I’m off to get ready for a senior shoot tonight, then I’m OKC bound. Heather and Cash and I are spending tomorrow hanging out in Tulsa. (Third wheelin’ it! Story of my life.) Then it’s back to the D on Sunday for an engagement shoot.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. :)

peace.

My one-on-one workshops are sneaking around the corner, and I’m in need of the following models on these dates:

March 7th, 3:30-5:30pm: Family (in OKC)
March 14th, 4:30-6:30pm: High School Senior (in Duncan)
March 21st, 4:30-6:30pm: Family (in Duncan)
March 28th, 4:30-6:30pm: Couple (in Duncan)
April 4th, 5-7pm: Couple (in OKC)
April 11th, 5-7pm: (already booked someone)
April 18th, 5-7pm: High School Senior (in Duncan)
April 25th, 5-7pm: High School Senior (in OKC)

Requirements:
• Must not have worked with me before (a large part of the workshop is making the client comfortable…if you already know me, this defeats the purpose. ;) )
• Must be between the ages of 17-26. (Except family shoots, all ages except children who must be above the age of 5.)

All we need you to do is treat this like you would a normal photo shoot. You’re free to bring extra outfits, props, etc. And…the best part…any shots we (myself or my workshop attendee) get on the shoot, you will get for free! We’ll each send you a CD once they’re edited.

I should also note to bring along some extra patience. ;) The main focus of this shoot will be walking my workshop attendee through how a typical shoot goes for me. There will be significantly more talking than shooting, but it’ll still be a good time for all! I really want these to be fun and laid-back! :)

If all of this sounds like something you would be interested in, send the following information to me at indiejanephotography @ gmail.com! (Or click “inbox” in the menu bar above.)

Senior, couple, or family shoot:
Name(s) of model(s):
Age(s) of model(s):
Date you are applying for:
Favorite kind of candy:

(I’m aware the last question could not be more random, but I felt like there needed to be five questions. Five sounded like a better number than four.)

It’s also recommended to send a photo of who would be modeling (totally does not have to be a “professional” photo), but I’ll let that be optional.

If I receive enough applications by next Thursday, I’ll make the decision then and email everyone.

Annnnd….. GO! :D
