aryonna. –> 2011 senior. (+ giveaway winner!)

Sharing a lovely senior this afternoon, as well as a few random photos from my weekend!

I did Aryonna’s brother’s senior pictures last year, and it’s been great getting to know her and her mom over the last year or so. Aryonna wanted a “rural” vibe for her photos, so we ended up doing all of her photos out on my land. It was really great, laid back shoot! And girl’s got come killer eyes..

I spent Saturday in Tulsa with Cash and Heather and took my camera, intending on taking more personal photos. I think I’ve come to a big realization: I am not a journalistic photographer. I’m awful at wanting to lug around that big ol’ thing and mess with settings. This has frustrated me for awhile but I think I’m recently coming to terms with the fact that there are two types of photographers: journalistic and artistic. I strongly believe you can be both types and the two can easily be combined…but I was not blessed with the journalistic side. Or patience. ;)

Ramble ramble…I took a few instax photos and a few with my iphone when I left my camera in the car/didn’t feel like changing settings. haha.

(Sidenote: I totally want a cat now! My little 13yr old barn cat, TJ, passed away a few months ago and I feel like I need a kitty around here. I want a male orange tabby SO BAD.)

Another little random tidbit regarding models for my upcoming workshops. (They start in one week! Ahh!!) I’m so thankful for all the applications I’ve received! It’s been overwhelming (in a great way) and making me so excited about these workshops. :) I’m still looking for a few more model applications for March 7th, March 14th, March 21st, and April 25th. You can find more info about what I’m looking for here. I will stop taking applications this Thursday and make my decision by Saturday. You are all fantastic. :)

And I believe that concludes our randomness for the day. I made a yummy dinner tonight (I’ll share tomorrow) and I’m about to attempt to make Guinness Chocolate Pudding..
