Two blog posts in one night… Whaaaa?!

I’m trying to kick it into high gear. Things are about to get super busy in my little world.

Let’s walk through what the rest of my month will look like, shall we?

Oct. 19th – Senior shoot
Oct. 20th – Shoot in OKC.
Oct. 21st – Senior shoot
Oct. 22nd – Family shoot
Oct. 23rd – Senior shoot
Oct. 24th – Family shoot
Oct. 25th – Drive to Nashville
Oct. 26th – Tattoo in Nashville, leave immediately after and drive to Dallas
Oct. 27th – Fly from Dallas to North Carolina
Oct. 28th – Drive from North Carolina to Dallas
Oct. 29th – Driving/Dallas
Oct. 30th – Dallas
Oct. 31st – Dallas

I may be insane. Actually…yea, it’s definitely happening…I am going crazy.

But it’s kinda fun.

Had a lovely time with this couple in OKC last Monday…seriously, engagement shoots are so much fun when the couple is A) comfortable with each other, and B) super laid back. Loved working with them!

Out-takes! :D Haha.

Somehow Brandy may have talked me into shooting their wedding next June.

Again…I’m going crazy. That’d be two weddings next summer.

I don’t even know who I am anymore.

*sigh*

peace.

P.S. My new world traveling photographer buddy, Mr. Geoff Duncan, featured yours truly on his blog yesterday. Go leave him some love. He’s crazy talented.

Wow, has it really been almost 6 days since I’ve blogged?! This last week has kind of flown by.. It’s been one big roller coaster.

I took my 5D MkII into the repair shop last Tuesday, and they couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working. It was almost humorous…I was pacing around the shop so much that I had to leave. I was driving them crazy. I came back to no news, and they started feeding me cookies. I felt like I was in a waiting room at the hospital!

I will say, the people over at Baker Photo & Video on Main in Yukon are AMAZING! They really knew what they were doing, and they seemed really eager to help. They worked on my camera for a good hour before giving up and deciding to send it in to Canon. And they put up with my hysteria quite well. :)

So if all goes well, my camera should be back in my hands by November. *fingers crossed* Luckily, my great friend Jenn let me bum her 30D until I get mine back. This meant a trip down to Texas…I will very very rarely pass up a trip to Texas. So I got to visit with her and her kiddos (who need to stop growing) for a bit, then I bothered my big brother and Steven for the night…those two tend to improve my mood immensely.

Oh! And I was COMPLETELY stressing out about having to quickly find a camera on Tuesday…I had shoots booked for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and today. Literally within 24 hours I received emails or calls from Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s clients requesting a reschedule, all for various reasons. So I had three full days to find a camera!

One of these days I’ll learn to chill out and accept the fact that God is in control.

Things have settled down a bit so I actually got a chance to get some editing done. I met up with Sara and her sweet girls, Avery and Grace, in Ardmore at the CUTEST little store. If you’re ever in Ardmore, swing by The Cloverleaf. I died of happiness. (And the women there are super sweet.)

Seriously, these girls are adorable.

And their momma is also quite gorgeous!

The progression of these three photos makes me laugh..

I’m hoping to get at least one more session edited tonight. If I can avoid distractions..

…furry, four-legged distractions.

peace.

Ooooh what a whirlwind of  weekend it’s been.

My camera randomly decided to go haywire Saturday afternoon, so I ended up having to cancel a shoot so I could take my camera to OKC to find out what the deal is.

Apparently, there are no camera repair shops open on Sundays, or on Columbus Day. So what was supposed to be one night in OKC has turned into a 3 day long event to get this all taken care of. I am beyond frustrated…I have a ridiculous amount of shoots coming up, and NO camera. I feel like part of me is missing. Not a fan of this.

However, I’m lucky enough to know some awesome photogs in the OKC area and I was able to borrow a camera body for my shoot tonight. (Thanks so much Damian!) Hopefully tomorrow I can find a good repair shop and find out what the deal is. Cross your fingers and toes for me.

On the bright side, I got a lot of editing done this weekend! So I have two shoots to share with you guys…

Kaleigh and Anthony’s engagement shoot..
(The wind was slightly crazy and I think allergies got the best of all of us, but it was worth it!)

And then last Tuesday I had a shoot with these lovely best friends…they wanted to do their senior photos together. They were so cute!

And this cracked me up…typical. :)

For some reason I can’t get Heather’s wi-fi to work on my laptop, so I’m forced to hang out at IHOP to get work done. I’m telling you…it’s been one of those weeks. Already.

We did, however, carve pumpkins last night (I had never carved one) and made two pumpkin pies from scratch. We even roasted the pumpkin…no canned stuff. It’s quite tasty…we were proud. :)

Anyway, I’m off to get some emails responded to and a little work done. Have a good week, kids.

peace.

Man, I have totally lacked motivation the last couple of days. It took all I had to make myself sit down and actually get some editing done.

Whatever weird funk I’m in…I’d really like to snap out of it soon. :(

On a totally different note…I adore these guys. For so many reasons. Allow me to list a few:

1) There was ZERO whining from any of them when I requested shooting at 7am.
2) They bought me breakfast.
3) They actually knew what the hell they wanted from their shoot, and they told me. (I am not a mind reader.)
4) There was a significant amount of laughter…out-takes to follow.
5) Their music is ballin.

Pumped to see where the future leads these guys.

Check out these dapper young men! So proud at their ability to dress themselves. Haha.

This was actually an accident…but the colors were too awesome to toss it.

And seriously, there were just as many out-takes as actual photos. I made a collage with my free time.
(That’s a lie, I don’t have free time…I was just procrastinating some more.)

Ahh…such good times.

I’ve had a couple of awesome shoots the last few days…still have an engagement to edit from last weekend too! I’ll share soon. :)

Oh, and I finally bought some more Christmas lights for my office window.

It was depressing in here without them!

peace.
