Oh my goodness! This little guy kinda stole my heart yesterday evening. I normally get nervous about doing shoots with kids under the age of…like…ten…but this kiddo was such a good sport!

And quite the little ham, too. :)

Krystal, I’m putting your proofs up now! If you ever need a babysitter, you have my number. ;)

SOOOO obnoxiously excited about this week! Plans were changed a bit, but still pumped.

I’m heading to OKC for just a bit today so Heather and I can look for our Halloween costumes. (We’re going as Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy. Hilarious.)
Tomorrow afternoon I’ll head south to spend some time with my Texas boys, then my big brother and I leave early early early Wednesday morning for North Carolina. Then road tripping all the way back to Dallas. Surprisingly excited about 20ish hours in a car with that guy. Haha!

We’re stopping in my favorite city (Nashville!) on the way through so I can finish the Acacia tree tattoo on my back. More excitement! With a dash of nervousness. Ha. :)

I really think I was just born to travel. I get antsy in one place too long.

Oh, and I’m determined to start taking more personal photos (I seriously rarely get my camera out for anything other than work) so be prepared. :) Still wish I had my camera back though…hopefully I’ll hear back from the repair place soon..

Anyway. I’m off to go have some more adventures..

peace.

I do not know what my deal was, but I had the hardest time with this shoot.

Don’t get me wrong, Tanner did AWESOME, and I was pleased with the photos we got…but for some weird reason I do not feel like I was at my best.

Possibly because as soon as I stepped out of my car to start the shoot, I walked right into a sticker patch.

Scratch that.. Not only did I walk right into a sticker patch, I led Tanner right into it too.

*facepalm*

It was not one of my better days.

However, like I said, we still got some great stuff from his shoot.

Thanks for being such a good sport, Tanner..

Also…well.. I decided not to dye my hair. I had every intention of pulling an all-nighter and working on a “white” series of self-portraits I’ve wanted to try for about a year, then go buy hair dye first thing in the morning. So I did the portraits…and changed my mind. Temporarily, at least.

I don’t know why I have such a strange attachment to this white hair. It’s a pain in the ass to keep up with, it’s hardly ever the exact shade I want, and quite frankly…I don’t know how my hair hasn’t fallen out yet.

But yet…I’ll probably keep it for a bit longer..

peace.

P.S. The new orange ‘n cream fruitista freezes at Taco Bell are FANTASTIC. Slightly addicted.

This girl was such a pleasure to hang out with. The whole shoot was really laid back, and I kept having to remind myself to stop talking and take photos. (This happens way too often.) And I had sooo many favorites! All the color makes me happy. Part of me is ready for fall to really get here, but I’m going to miss everything being green.

I’m currently on a little adventure to get rid of the blue streak in my hair. I thought I’d love it…not so much. I’m not usually a big fan of unnatural colors in my hair, so I don’t really know what I was thinking when I thought blue would be a good idea. I’m a goob. Live and learn, right?

So tonight I have bleached it twice, which turned it green. So I went over it with a red toner, and that didn’t really do anything. Now I’m trying my last resort…someone suggested toothpaste, so I’m sitting here with Crest on my head.

Smells fantastic though!

Debating dying my hair either brown again or my natural color (strawberry blondish). Opinions?

I really don’t know why I do this. I go through these weird phases where I think I need to mess with my hair. It’s been over a year since I’ve changed my hair color though! That’s a biiiig deal for me. ;)

peace.

It’s almost pathetic how much I miss my own camera.

Actually, it IS pathetic.

I miss having a full-frame (I kept having to remind myself to take two steps back with my 35mm lens, which was weird), I miss having a battery grip (I’m spoiled)…and oddly enough, I miss all the paint all over my camera from paint shoots. I don’t think Jenn would appreciate me returning her camera covered in paint speckles, though. :) Only a few more weeks until my baby comes home to meee!

Anyway.. This girl is so stinkin pretty! She was a pleasure to shoot, and I had a really tough time narrowing down favorites. The light at the end of her session was so amazing…I’m pretty sure there was a happy dance on my part.

I randomly decided last night to put a navy blue and white striped streak in my hair. I had it all planned out…and it did not go as planned. Apparently the color from the blue dye bled all over the left side of my head. It was really weird and leopard print-ish, but I got rid of that this morning. (It seriously looked like one of those clip in hair extension things that 12 year olds wear. Awesome.) So now I have a navy blue streak and random pieces of teal.

It was one of those moments where I’m glad I’m not one of those girls who cries over their hair. I seriously laughed really hard when I took the towel off my head.
I’ll fix it later. It’s just hair.

I’m about to pack a bag and head to OKC for a couple of days…more shoots!
I know I’m speaking the obvious here, but I don’t think I know how to sit still. I haven’t stayed at my house longer than 5 days since…umm…June?

I am the walking talking definition.

peace.

P.S. If you get a chance, go check out my friend of a friend’s band, Finding Chesterfield! They’re based out of OKC…good stuff!
