Hokay, so.
I’m going to try to get an etsy set up within the next couple of days to sell my paintings, some prints, and little thrifted odds and ends that I’ve altered.
PROBLEM: I don’t know what to name my shop. haha.
So…here’s your chance to be creative! :)
I’m super picky about names, but I figured I’d give my blog readers a chance to win somethin pretty.
SO…leave your ideas in the comment box, or email them to me at indiejanephotography@gmail.com.
Winner gets this little lovely. :)
(I don’t know why my christmas lights are doing that all the sudden. But I likes it.)
READY SET GO!!
Oh, and here’s my last two days from wardrobe remix. I’m learning that there are people out there who dress more…different…than I do. Lol.
peace.

P.S. I made lasagna from scratch tonight. I even made the sauce by myself!
It was heavy. Lol.

Weeeeelllllll, due to dumb circumstances (*cough*WINTERWEATHER*cough*) the New Orleans trip got cancelled. :( Which really bums me out, because this was my last weekend without a shoot until May.
I. Hate. Winter.
On a brighter note, I FINALLY got a craft table!
I’ve literally had all this crap sitting on my island on my kitchen for forever. Thankfully, mi madre is moving and didn’t need her table anymore. So I snatched that sucker up.
Having all the extra room in my kitchen made me wanna make carrot cupcakes. :)
Does ANYONE have a good buttercream frosting recipe that isn’t so runny? Or am I just retarded? I use the 8oz. cream cheese, 1 stick of butter, 1lb. of powdered sugar recipe, but it always ends up being gloopy. (And yes, I had let the cupcakes completely cool.) It hurts my heeeaaaarrrtt.
Here’s a few paintings I finished up over the weekend.

I’ve been working on this one for so freaking long…this is the third version, actually. And part of me still kinda wants to do it over. But I’ll refrain.
A few days ago I decided to start participating in Wardrobe Remix on Flickr. I’ve always liked looking through all the different outfits in the group, so I thought I’d jump in. Here’s my first three days.
Freezing temperatures and snow will not stop me from wearing summer dresses. I refuse to let this stupid season ruin any more of my fun.
Did I mention that I hate winter?
Anyway. Just another random post. Hope everyone had a good Valentine’s day! I woke up late, went to Goodwill, and ate chocolates.
Chocolates that I bought for myself, anyway. Woot.
(I really did not intend for that photo to look so depressing. Lol.)
Have a lovely week. :)
peace.

My first shoot in Bricktown! (Hopefully one of many more to come…I love that place.)
Okay, seriously, when is winter going to be done? I’m over it. 100%. I’m hoping if I just keep ignoring it and refuse to buy a coat and keep wearing tights, Mother Nature will get confused and think it’s actually Spring.
No luck so far. I’ll keep you updated.
So, despite freezing temperatures, Marla and Shane ran around Bricktown with me last Saturday and were a ton of fun! I did Marla’s sister’s engagement photos last October..
Hi Meredith. :)
Anyway…sneak peeeek!

YUP!
Proofs are going up now. :)
So I started making some throw pillows out of the fabric I found at Goodwill. I read a tip somewhere to use Fabric Glue instead of stitching up the little bit of fabric after you stuff it, and using clothespins to keep it together until it dries.
It failed to mention not to get the glue on the clothespins. Ummm, they’re stuck. Awesome.
Also, I’d like you all to meet my Valentine…
I’m taking her to New Orleans for a romantic weekend getaway.
(My butt isn’t really that…large. It’s an optical illusion.)
But seriously, I’m pumped about a roadtrip with my favorite Daniellephant! We leave Saturday morning. We’ll be visiting the NOLA girls (JEN!) until Tuesday. So if you email me over the weekend, I will get back to you by Wednesday. :)
Have a lovely weekend and a lovely Valentine’s Day, kiddos.
peace.

Just wanted to share some things that make me happy lately. :)
Finished paintings. (And painted suitcases!)
I still have several more to finish. Hoping to get an etsy set up soon. This girl could use some extra cash. :/
LOTS of pretty finds at Goodwill recently.
Polaroid, vintage books, leather suitcase, orange bowling bag (which I fully plan on turning into a camera bag), cute mugs and cups, bird wall hangings, and lots of pretty yellow fabric to make some throw pillows with….$21.
Thanks Goodwill.
(I haven’t been using my Instax Mini as much as I’d like here lately.)
So many things I love about this..
New dress, my favorite records recently, and my hair has grown enough to be somewhat big again. Not to mention the fact that I have paint all over my arm.
I got a cute new camera strap in a little shop in Yukon last week. My strap that came with my 5DMkII was looking rooouuuggh.
Oh, and I jumped on the bandwagon and got a Formspring. Go ask me things. :)
I’ll have some engagement pictures to share with you in the next few days. :)
Lastly, this..
peace.
