I freaking LOVE shows at Selah in OKC. It’s definitely one of my favorite venues to shoot at. I hustled up there after my senior shoot last Saturday to watch these boys play. Blake (keys) is a good friend of mine, and Laney’s little brother Coleywoley (he’s going to kill me for that introduction, but he ate all my beef jerky and left the wrapper in my car, so we’re even) has recently started screaming for them. I have to admit, I was a little surprised at Coleywoley’s skillz.
Yep. Skillz with a “z”.
Lane took some of these too…I threw a smiley face on all his shots. haha. And some of them I have no clue who took them. We switched cameras halfway through the set. Woops.

We have yet to figure out what happened here. We sat there for a good five minutes trying to come up with possibilities…
…nothin.
That’s my best friend.
And this is what I do when I’m fearing for my life at hardcore shows and make Lane go take pictures instead. :) haha
Anyhoo…Wednesday evening we all met up in Davis and did some promos. I’ll be okay if I never hear a “that’s what she said” joke ever again. And I watch The Office religiously. I should have started counting how many times it was said..
Nevertheless, good shoot.

Then I ran over Blake and replaced him in the band. The end.
Next post will be a super fun senior girl. I’m reeeaaally excited about these! I’m uploading them from my camera currently and just the straight out of camera shots are making me happy. Wee!
I also have to find the time this weekend to finish this banner for the FTA boys before the show at The Conservatory on the 4th.
Which you should definitely go to. :)
Random fact: If you buy me a Cherry Mash, we are automatic friends.
If you buy me a Cherry Mash and you are an attractive boy, we are automatic lovers.
Just kidding.
I think.

I’m getting pretty pumped about my upcoming seniors the next couple of months. I’m gearing up for a buuusssyyy spring, but all the kids I’ve talked to so far have seemed so freakin fun. EEP!
Miss Zetoria and I got lucky enough to avoid freezing weather last Saturday for her senior pictures. (Not that it wasn’t cold!) She was a super fun girl!
Peekchurs..

I like that this one looks vintage! Makes me happy.

Speaking of vintage…I found this on the side of the road last week.
It looks a little rough right now, but I think it’s got potential. When I have free time I want to clean it up and reupholster it. (Though I really love that turquoise leather.)
So I spent yesterday evening doing band pictures, which I’ll share with you within the next few days. It was an interesting setting..
Don’t ask how I find these places.
Also…BLUE SKIES. <3
Spring is weaseling her way in…I just know it. :)
Finally..
My shoot boots are lookin rough. :(
I’m thinkin tonight is going to be an all nighter. My to-do list is lengthy. Most of it is fun little projects, so I can’t complain. :)

It’s weird that it’s almost March and this is my first senior shoot in 2010. But this is the first of many, kiddos. I’m booking March/April spots every day here lately, so if you’re considering IJP for senior pictures you might want to book soon! I was completely filled up the last two weeks of March and all of April last year. Just a heads up!
So this is Jared…
I tell people all the time than some senior boys can be harder to photograph than toddlers, but he never once gave me a hard time. (That’s a lie, he totally did, but it was more out of humor than making my job hell. Ha!) His super fun momma and brother and sister (WHAT UP GURL) came along too…ended up being a pretty fun shoot. Love my joooob.
Sneak peeeeeeEeEeEeEeEEEEeeeeKKkkkkkKK.
(I just made that as obnoxious as possible. No reasoning.)

A few of you asked for a closer look of my senior photos. This is the best you’re going to get.
FYI, that was not my real hair. My hair does not curl. And it was about shoulder length. Homegirl got extensions. Lots of them, obviously. (Hello Glamour Shots.)
Lastly, I bought a coat.
DISLIKE.
Not the coat…just the fact that I actually got to that point where winter won and I’m tired of freezing every time I go outdoors.
Also because I’m shooting in a huge abandoned building tomorrow that will be nice and freezing. Splendid. BUT, it’ll be fun. Minus the freezing part.
Enough rambling.
Go here and buy yourself somethin pretty. –> indiejanemakesthings.
(I’m hoping to get some paintings finished up this weekend and I’ll add them to the shop on Monday. I’ll keep you updated, yo.)
Mmm, that’s all. Have a lovely Wednesday.

I’ve literally spent all day getting this shop set up. Ridiculous.
I’m donating 10% of funds from each Africa related project to Mocha Club. If you haven’t checked this organization out, you should (the link is over on the sidebar). This is the group I go to Ethiopia with each year!
Okay, so, I wasn’t kidding when I said I was super picky about names. I ended up just going with “indiejanemakesthings”. BUT, I still want to do a giveaway, so I wrote down the names from each blog comment and email (and tweets!) and stuck those suckers in a hat. :)
Congrats, Miss Tisdale! Email your shipping info to indiejanephotography@gmail.com and I’ll get your painting in the mail for you. :)
I have nothing else to share with you. So here’s my last two Wardrobe Remix days. ha.
I’m so glad the weather is finally getting nice. I’m in such a better mood when I can actually go outdoors without getting frostbite.
Also, I dressed like a grandpa today. :)
I’ve got a senior shoot tomorrow (my first senior in 2010! woot!) and another senior on Saturday. Then it’s off to OKC to shoot a show at Selah Saturday night…which you should definitely go to. :)
Happy weekend, kiddos.
peace.
