Miss Danielle and I ran amuck down some alleys and under some overpasses in Edmond last Wednesday.
(I sound like such a hellion.)
She’s moving to the big city of Nashville later this year to pursue a career in music. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her! She’s got so much drive and she’s talented to boot…I’ve got a ton of faith in her.
I’m expecting big things, ma’am!

Also, please continue to make this face when you are famous.
Thanks.
I spent this last weekend in Dallas visiting a few friends. Hung out a bit at Jenn’s house and played about 40 rounds of Buzz! Junior with her kiddos. Kind of wishing I would have had a photobooth photoshoot with them. The weekend went by too fast! Also spent Saturday hanging out with the talented Justin James…we planned on shooting a bit but the weather decided not to cooperate. What can ya do..
Annnd today I got to see my favorite princess, even just for a short amount of time.
Took this out the window on my way to Rockwall.
On the way home I pulled over, ran across the highway barefoot, and took this.
Moments like that give me a rush. Dropping everything, forgetting everything (like your shoes), just for that shot that means something.
Oh, and this is my mouse-killer, TJ. He has no tail, and he hangs out on my window outside.
Lastly, I have officially discovered dry shampoo.
Like I need one more reason to not shower on a regular basis…
peace.

So I have a few fun things to share. Shall we begin? Do you really have an option? No. ALRIGHT LET’S GO!!
First…this:

Never a dull moment. They’re cute.
I painted this little darling (and a cute little deer) in my kitchen the other day, and quickly learned you shouldn’t use spray paint in your house. Umm, oops.
AND I’M MAKIN A DINOSAUR.
It’s a work in progress. Don’t judge my yellow socks.
So Sunday night I had the pleasure of shooting the boys of From The Distance. We were planning on meeting in the afternoon, but due to unforeseen circumstances (like their bus breaking down multiple times on the way to Duncan) we ended up having to shoot in the dark. So these were shot with the headlights from my car. Haha.

The guys were a lot of fun. I even got serenaded. Win-win-win!
Monday I headed up to OKC for the Cady Groves/Harp and Lyre/Carter Hulsey/Party Like Summer/Nevershoutnever show. I’m realizing more and more how much I LOVE shooting shows. It’s very hit-and-miss half the time and they’re tough to shoot, but it’s a fun challenge. :)
Miss Cady and I played around a bit before the show. She’s adorable.
Check out her beautiful musics:

Evan’s adorable too. Can’t leave him out.
The Harp and Lyre boys ALWAYS put on an awesome show. I’m not the world’s biggest hardcore music fan, but I love seeing them play. Bonus that they’re all super cool guys!

A quick backstage shot of Christofer Drew..
He was fun. :)

One of the best parts of the night?
Shooting with my best fraaann.
Here’s one of his shots. We’re going to become a super bad-A concert shooting team. You just wait.
I’ll put all the photos from the show on my flickr within the next week or so for the bands to use. I still need to go through half of them. Yikes.
And that concludes what the last 3 days have consisted of. Dogs, art, music, music. Tomorrow I’m shooting a lovely lady who is moving to Nashville to pursue…you guessed it…music. :)
I love that all of my passions kind of mesh together. Life is good, my friends.
Today I wore floral tights and bought massive dinosaur gummies and watched Space Jam. Heather insisted on watching Robsessed. I preferred to let my dinosaur eat his head.
peace.

So I spent this last weekend in OKC.
(Surprise surprise.)
I got to hang out with some awesomely talented new friends while they filmed their new video (I’ll link it once the video is done in a few weeks). I CANNOT wait to see the finished product…it’s gonna be legit!
[The band is For The Atlantic.]
Here’s a few behind the scenes shots..
(Sidenote: Two new members haven’t been officially announced, so I replaced their faces with lovely question marks. And lovely pop stars.)

We did a quick promo shot. I wanted some movement in it so I slowed down my shutter but never REALLY got what I wanted. Everyone was ready to pack up and head out, so this was the best I got…the final product will be sans Miley and Taylor.
It was SO cold in that warehouse Saturday night! We came home and the boys told me my face was red…looked in the mirror and this is what I saw.
Terrifying.
It feels like chapped lips but ALL OVER MAH FACE.
Winter, you are no longer welcome here. Shoo.
I believe I will go to bed early tonight and sleep in late tomorrow. :)
peace.

Can I just say how much I despise winter?
Like, we’re not friends. I’m moving to Florida.
Just kidding. But seriously…this shoot on Tuesday was SO COLD! We had planned to do it yesterday (Thursday), but luckily we checked the forecast and saw it was supposed to be freakin sub-zero temps. Not that it mattered, because apparently after awhile in even 30 degree weather you start to lose feeling in your limbs it really doesn’t matter how cold it is anyway. I was relying on the “click” of the shutter to let me know when I’d actually taken a photo, because I couldn’t feel my finger pushing the shutter.
Yep. And these two wore t-shirts for a few minutes.
I commend you for your bravery, kids.
All whining aside.. ;) We actually had a lot of fun! Emily is super sweet, and I hadn’t seen Luke in yeeeaaars…and apparently had forgotten how tall he was, because I forgot my ladder. If you’ve been on a shoot with me, you know what a grave mistake that was. Ha. :)

I looooved this location they brought me to. Especially at sunset. It was so peaceful out there.
I’ve spent the last few evenings hanging out at Heather’s catching up on Lost. We finally finished the 5th season and OHMYGOOOOOSSSSHHH, I am obsessed with that show to the max. February 2nd, come soon!!
Oh, and this is one of Heather’s psycho ferrets.
I know, terrifying little creature, right?
(He was just yawning. haha.)
I’m in OKC for the weekend…my pipes froze up and my electricity went out at my house. So I decided to come bother Lane for three days.
Again…winter and I are not friends.
peace.
