The clouds were so awesome today that I drove around for an hour and stood in the freezing cold just to get some shots of the sky.
God is my favorite artist.
I came home and cooked for the first time in ages.
I’ve been making this beef stew for two years and it’s my favorite. I always make a huge pot of it and it’ll be gone in about four days.
Oh, and I made some weirdo cupcakes.
Om nom nom. :)

It only took me two weeks to get these up.
[Yikes.]
This was my first trip to New Orleans.
It won’t be my last.
[I have the best friends.. I got sick and needed to puke, but couldn't. So they all made themselves throw up to "help" me out. I never puked. Sorry guys..]

Tonight I am painting a lot. (I’ve had an Alice in Wonderland themed painting in my head for awhile…I’m glad it’s finally coming alive.) I also made dinner for the first time in months, and I made myself a bunch of cupcakes.
December, I have waited for you for months. You keep me sane. :)

Helloooo from Nashville. :)
The workshop this weekend was absolutely incredible. Jeremy Cowart has been a huge influence on my own career for the last 2 and a half years, and just being around him and hearing him talk about photography was super inspiring. I walked away from this weekend with a lot of new information, but above all I was reminded of why I started doing this in the first place…for the art. I don’t ever want this to feel like a “job”, I just want to create things that make me happy. I’ve been way too caught up in the technical and business aspects of it, and while those things are important, it’s not why I’m here in the first place.
We were given an hour to get a few shots of our awesome model, Ashley…here’s a few of my favorites.
And what’s a trip to Nashville without a new tattoo? ;)
(Ignore how gross it is…I hadn’t cleaned it yet and poor birdie hadn’t stopped bleeding. Nasty.)
This is number 9 for me. I saw a tattoo somewhat similar to it a few weeks ago, but I made mine a lot more whimsical and threw some color in it. I think it represents me the best out of all my tattoos.
Also, definitely the second most painful one I’ve gotten…the foot still wins though.
(Props to Gabe at Billy Joe’s Tattoos…the guys there do an awesome job and I love the environment. I had my feather done there last July.)
Headed back to the OK tomorrow! I’m going to work on getting caught up on emails/messages/orders/etc on Tuesday. I’ll also blog some of those New Orleans photos I promised.
