First, the lengthy trek to my field. (That’s a lie, it took like two minutes.)
Checking the remote.
Wouldn’t be complete without a temper tantrum…
…or cousin Toby being complicated…
…very complicated.
The most decent shot I got. (It was 2 in the afternoon and 20 people. Come on.)
I don’t love it. :/ There’s always next year.
OH!! And I got a new car. :)
Meet Petri. (Named after the Pterodactyl on Land Before Time. No reasoning behind this.)

I thought these cars were so freaking weird the first time I saw one. For some reason, they totally grew on me and I decided last week that I had to have one. It was sad leaving my Mariner behind, but MAN I LOVE THIS CAR!
Oh hi. :)
Speaking of cars…Donnie, Laney, Cole, and I will be leaving in 8ish hours for New Orleans!! I’M SO PUMPED. :) I love roadtrips as much as I love those boys, plus we’ll get to hang out with Jen for a few days. Excitedddd.
Off to finish packing. I’ll be back Sunday-ish. :)
peace.

Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year.
True story.
Tomorrow, I will not do one bit of work for the first time in six weeks. No emails, no phone calls, no editing, no print orders. Just hanging with the fam at mi casa and making myself sick with green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. I can’t quite put into words how excited I am. :)
I love love love my job, but I way overdid myself the last two months. I’m working on a work schedule for next year so I avoid this ever happening again…I never want to reach that point where this feels like work. I’m incredibly behind on sleep, I’m getting frustrated easily, I’m becoming incredibly nit-picky about my work, and I just don’t want that. I will not be a workaholic.
So… I am thankful for a job that not only allows me to run amuck downtown with fancy camera gear and meet lots of amazing people, but also allows me to set my own pace so I don’t wear myself out. :)
Cousins Kobie and Steph are hanging at the house with me tonight.
Happy Thanksgiving, from all us indians.
(Sidenote: I want to make it a point to start wearing a feather in my hair. I’ve said that before and haven’t followed through with it. For reals this time.)
peace.

These two were so easy to work with…yet another shoot where there was as much time laughing at stupid things (like convertible trucks and me being stalked by the ice cream truck…more on that later..) than actually taking pictures..

About that ice cream truck…dead serious, pretty much every afternoon shoot that I have, no matter what time of year, there is an ice cream truck within hearing distance of whatever location I use. I hear “Pop Goes The Weasel” in my sleep now. IT CREEPS ME OUT, MAN.
Another brother/sister shoot next. I’ve got my last two shoots of the year tomorrow (still need to blog 5 more shoots!), and as much as I LOVE my job, I am in dire need of a little vacation. :)
peace.

Heather came over tonight to keep me awake and make me some rice. She’s currently hip hop dancing right in front of my desk.
(Unattractive picture, yes?)

I loooove doing engagements shoots! Next to seniors, they’re probably my favorite type of shoot. Tayler and Dustin were really fun, and they’re freaking adorable…
(I’ve wanted to use this location for a ridiculously long time..)

Dustin is slightly ornery. Just slightly.

Ha. :)
Two shoots edited in one night! Wee!! Now I’m going to start on another…we’ll see how long this lasts before I pass out on my desk..
peace.

Mostly because I loooooove this.
