This is not only my last ’09 senior, but my last shoot until mid-August! I’m taking the summer off since I’ll be doing a lot of traveling…Nashville, NYC, Dubai, Ethiopia, then Denver! (And then Georgia in September!) I feel bad having to turn down a lot of you guys that have emailed me about doing family photos this summer, but man I’m excited about all the places I’ll get to see. :)
Brittany was one of those girls that pretended like she didn’t know what she was doing, but the girl worked it! I had a blast with her…such a sweet girl. And she even brought bug spray with her! It’s sad when the client comes more prepared than the photographer…ha. :)

So we were standing by this fence at one of the locations, and all the sudden my left foot starts tingling…then it suddenly feels like it’s on fire…
Hello, ant bed.
I’m pretty sure I dropped my camera and shrieked like a little girl. This is what my foot looks like today…I have a bazillion little ant bites on my left foot..

(And no my calves are not that huge, it was a weird angle!)
Saying goodbye to my dear cousin tonight…she’s leaving for a mission trip on Monday and I won’t see her until the end of the summer. Please keep her and her team mates in your prayers that they have a safe trip!

She’s…special.. :)
peace.

Technically Drew graduated over a week ago, but it’s better late than never when it comes to senior pictures! :)

I had a little helper at the beginning of the session. :)

Also, I just want to address this again…if you’re needing to get a hold of me about a session, questions, concerns, or you’re recommending me to someone, do NOT use my cell phone number. I get awful service out at my house and miss a lot of calls and voicemails. If you need to contact me, PLEASE EMAIL ME! indiejanephotography@gmail.com
Gracias. :)
peace.

P.S. I got another tattoo…that makes five! I’ll probably get one more then I’ll be done…we’ll see. ;) Anyway, it’s lyrics from one of my favorite songs, “Forgiven and Loved” by Jimmy Needham.

Hailey is moving to Montana for photography school TOMORROW, so she wanted some pictures with her and Chris before she left. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and the sunlight towards the end of the shoot was just amazing!

I’m still working on getting the wedding from Saturday edited. The wedding was gorgeous, but I’m still not 100% sure wedding photography is for me.. We’ll see. :)
peace.

Dear IJP 2009 Seniors,
I seriously cannot believe this year is over. I’m pretty sure I warned all of you that it would fly by, now I’m sitting here going “Where the heck did the last 9 months go?”
I’m very proud to say that so far I have had 30 of you this year.
30!!
Last year I had 13 seniors! AND I still have a few last minute seniors who decided to get their pictures done after graduation.
30 of you followed me around random alleys, abandoned houses, and tall fields in all kinds of weather and you trusted me with a small part of one of the most important years of your lives. I can’t tell you what that means to me! I had a blast with all of you, and several of you have become great friends to me. (You know who you are!)
There is no doubt in my mind that you’re all going to do amazing things in this world. I’ve had some awesome talks with you guys driving to and from locations, and some of you have passion that far surpasses your years. DON’T LOSE THAT! Don’t ever settle for mediocrity, and don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do anything.
And when you all become famous for whatever reason, I get the first autograph.
So… Here’s to Kyle, Laney, Kaitlin, Abby, Igor, Houston, Danica, Whitney, Kylee, Brenna, Sydney, Shelby B, Andrew, Ashleigh, Frankie, Sarah G, Shelby M, Rachel, Laker, Shelby H, Judy, Austin, Bretlie, Tiffany, Bailee, Chance, Sarah S, Bradley, Landry, and Ryan…and my upcoming 2009 seniors for this month. :)

You guys are AMAZING, and thank you for letting me shoot you. ;)
peace.
