*ahem*
Meet Rachel.
She likes to pretend like she’s not gorgeous.
She also likes to tell her photographer that she’s really bad in front of cameras, just to freak her out a bit.
She’ll try to convince you that she doesn’t know what she’s doing.
It’s really not nice to lie to people, Rachel. I’m trying not to be bitter about it.
(I LOVE this one. Probably one of my favorite photos ever.)

I thought this was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. She was so cute!

Okay…so…there are three things that are guaranteed to happen at every single one of my shoots:
1) I will complain about how short I am.
2) I will attempt to hold the camera over my head and shoot down.
3) I will miss.
I have decided I will post one missed shot from every shoot.
Why?
I have no idea. Just go with it.

Also, thanks to Mr. Lane Smiley for coming along and being our entertainer…and holding my extra camera…and keys…and phone…and nerd glasses…and carrying a stump for me to stand on…and carrying Rachel’s hurdle through the park.
He’s a good sport, that one.
I shall pay him in cupcakes.
peace.

Shelby is a senior from Duncan this year! Her and her mom were awesome sports roaming around random places in Comanche with me. Sometimes I bring my clients to locations and can’t help but wonder if they think I’m crazy.
Truth is…I am.
It’s worked out well for me thus far. :)
Anyway…about Shelby…
CHECK OUT THAT SMILE!!!
I know…it’s ridiculous…I already told her. I actually think that was the first thing I said to her.
Not “Hi, I’m Amanda.”
Didn’t shake her hand.
Just “I love your smile!!”
P.S. I’m really bad at first impressions.

My next five blog posts will be seniors!
Ladies and gentlemen, senior season is upon us. :)
peace.

I feel like I haven’t blogged in forever! I’ve had three shoots since my last post…I know…I’m slacking..
Last week was Spring Break, which started out awesome..
Super fun concert Monday night…Away With Words and Sycamore opened for Dance Gavin Dance and A Skylit Drive. Good stuff! I also learned I’m not all that crazy about shooting side stage. Eh.

Tuesday I had an awesome shoot with the SWEETEST girl (sneak peek posted below!), then I went home and my friends and I made the coolest cupcakes everrrr!!

Whoever invented neon food coloring gets 100 cool points.
Wednesday was supa fun! Yet another show in OKC, this time at Selah…I always really like the pictures I get from this venue. (Pictures are, from top to bottom: Away With Words, Sycamore, To Speak Of Wolves, and Harp and Lyre.)

Oh, and we also made a “Happy Selah Show” cake…I know…we’re THAT cool.

Had another fun shoot with another senior girl Thursday evening…then Thursday night I got sick sick sick and ended up getting way behind in editing (and had to cancel three sessions!). It was not a good weekend, to say the least, and I’m just now getting caught up! Ack!
Anyhoo…I’m sure Sarah has been on pins and needles waiting for her sneak peek, and I feel bad that I took so long getting this posted!

I looooved the colors in this one! We had some amazing light that evening…YAY!

I’m halfway through my session from last Thursday, so it should be up in the next few days. I will get caught up! Someday.. :) haha
peace.

I’ve known Miss Shae for quite a few years, so I was excited when she won a free shoot at an auction a few months back! She’s running for Miss Comanche this year, so naturally I made her lay in itchy grass, put stinky flowers in her hair, and made her trek around in waist high grass for an hour and a half. :) I think it’s safe to say that it was worth it though..

Shae, I’m putting your proofs up as soon as my dial-up internet can upload them…probably should check back sometime tomorrow. :) Ha!
Oooh, and some of you have probably already seen it…but I’m super pumped about this. :)

My new tattoo that I got last Wednesday! It’s the exact one that’s in my logo…I love love love loooove it!
(Ignore the photo quality. I took it with my macbook pro. haha)
Hope everyone is having a great weekeeennnndd!
peace.
