Just needed to pop in and tell everyone if you need to get ahold of me, EMAIL ME! I get terrible service at my house and I miss a good portion of my calls and voicemails. I check my email once a day. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I’m trying to figure out a way to get better reception. I won’t even have a land line for awhile, so email is your best bet for now!

I’m so excited about going back to Ethiopia this summer, but that $4500 that I have to raise has been looming over my head the last couple of weeks.

I decided to sell some of my prints and paintings to raise money for the trip! I’m hoping this will be my primary means of raising money, so spread the word! The link is easy to remember: artforethiopia.etsy.com

lyrics – “so much love” by the rocket summer.

I’ve known miss Ashley for a few years, so when she asked me to do her engagement pictures I had absolutely no problem driving to Stillwater to hang out with her and her fiance, Daniel. It started to get pretty chilly towards the end of the shoot (is anyone else SO ready for spring to get here?!) but we suffered through it and got some great shots. :)

I absolutely adore this girl…isn’t she gorgeous? And she’s one of those people who is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Daniel is a very lucky man! (But I’m sure he’s already fully aware of this.. ) This was my first time to meet Daniel but he’s seems like a wonderful guy and perfect for Ashley. I’m so happy for both of you!

Enough blabbering, here’s a sneak peek for you guys.. :)

dear ethiopia,

i miss you.

i miss your people.

i miss their songs.

i miss your mud.

i miss your coffee.

i miss your orphans.

i miss their games.

i miss them laughing at me when i can’t pronounce their names.

i miss the way they say “you! one?!” every time there’s a camera around.

I miss your hope.

i miss your 4 hour church services.

i miss taking pictures of your old doors.

i miss your street kids.

i miss dancing to michael jackson with them.

i miss your rain.

i even miss your nasty enjera.

maybe.
okay not really.

but i do miss you.
a lot.
and i think about you all throughout the day.

i pray for you.
for your people.
your lost people.
your babies.
your kids on the street.

all of your people, really.

i can’t wait to see you this summer.
